Storing Pearl Cotton Balls

To store my balls of DMC Pearl Cotton, I use plastic containers from the craft section (where beading supplies are located) of my local big box store.  If you click on the picture, and zoom in, the beauty of pearl cotton really comes across, and explains why I love using it for quilting.

You may be wondering what the little packet is in the front.  It's a reusable silica gel desiccant pack.  I put them in my boxes of fabric, too.

  1. Hmm, that's quite an idea. I should start taking pearl cotton balls around with me to try out!! I too love pearl cottons, (esp. Anchor #12 which is rejoicing in a vastly extended colour range and I'm tempted to have a stash splurge - but am low on storage space...) although I don't quilt. I use them for various embroideries and want to explore their usage further.
